If you want to build an instant affiliate niche site, look no further than EAYA. It is a free php script thats based on 45n5’s affiliate mashup script with some serious modification.
The script basically lets you build a mashup affiliate site with YouTube videos, eBay listings, Amazon editorials and AdSense. All you need to do is edit config.php and enter your affiliate ids and you’re good to go.
You can check out the demo site here or a live site about video games.
Some of EAYA’s features include support for both PHP 4 and 5, Linux or Windows version, and Caching for fast loading.
The script is FREE, so please don’t expect any support from myself.

Thanks for your rework of the script. Did you tell Mark about it? I think he likes to post the rewrites to the script on his blog.

I have posted a comment on Mark’s website and emailed him about that. It is now a waiting game :)
BTW. My Video Games site is up for a little over a week now. I’ve used paid forum posters to participate in forums and use my link as their signature.
It cost me $25 and I managed to get $52.14 from it within a week. I also may enjoy from future visitors from the same postings.
I think that this method + squidoo + stumbleupon would do just fine. My guess is that a site link this should generate $50-$200/mo, depending on the niche.
What do you think is the best marketing method for this kind of site?

It looks like there is a problem with your video game site. Just adsense is showing, and some pages have streams of code above the header pushing the beginning of the site down to the bottom of the page.
Not sure what you mean by “I’ve used paid forum posters to participate in forums and use my link as their signature.” If it’s what I think it means, how do you go about getting in on that?
Not sure how to promote a site like this. To me they just look spammy, but I’m jaded to that. To most people who are looking for something, they probably just look like another shopping site.

My host changed the PHP setting so there was a function that stopped working - it is fixed now and the script was update to work on both PHP setting options.
There are people you can find on eLance or other sites that participate in niche forums on your behalf. It’s cheap (see prices here) and works pretty well.
I’m not sure I agree that this marketing method qualifies as spam, since the posters do not advertise on the forums — they participate as any other user might.
Here’s an idea for marketing such a site…
Put a site up using my script in the “niche websites” niche (people who want to make money online…). Than, advertise the site for sale on eBay using a low starting bid and a high enough reserved price.
People who look to buy money-making sites, will go to your site to check it out and they’ll see other offers for exactly what they’re looking for…
What other ways can you think of to market these types of sites?

Of all the scripts that are derivatives of the original, this one is the only that almost works for me. When I click on the tags, it returns a 404 page… any thoughts?

Hi Eddy E!
I just visited your website and it looks fine. What link are you clicking on that generates the error?

Hey..I see that the demo hosted on your site has item descriptions for amazon, and the wii games one doesnt. I installed the script, and my install doesnt have the descriptions. Could you release another version with the code to show the item descriptions as well ? Thanks !

Hi
Great script, am using on my site.
Very easy to instal.
A little problem in locating the style sheet data line, so that the site_name is displayed in another colour other than white. Currenlty its invisible.
I notice on the demo site above this is the same result i have.
Id be glad of your help?

Hey, great mods. Think you can add this feature in the next version ?
Make the meta keywords/description individual for each page..that way the sites will rank much better in the SERPs.

Will you be updating your script since Ebay is taking their affiliate program inhouse?
Also, thank you for sharing this great script!

Hey Ran, after struggling with the original mashup from Mark(think htaccess was not enabled onserver) i installed your script and switched off mod_rewrite using the switch in config.php and all was good. brilliant work thank you…
@Nick above the script works with the new ebay partner network, PID=campid, SID=customid, previously trackingpartnercode was 1 it is now 9 for ebay partner network
cheers and thanks again

Spaces are supposed to seperate the keywords(keyword.txt), however, right out of the box, mine are being stripped. Has anyone had this issue?
